Watch: The trailer for New Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has been released

During a Super Bowl LIV commercial break, Marvel Studios promised that “universe [was] it is expanding “. At the time, this meant normal flow series like WandaVision and Loki is coming to Disney +, but since then, the tagline extension has taken on a whole new meaning. The Marvel Movie Universe debuted in an animated show, bringing characters from Netflix works to their blockbusters, and is set to release two Disney + live-action tributes later this year.

Among these lump sums is The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which will be the second time fans will see Peter Quill and his company at MCU this year. Before their two appearances in the universe, the Guardians will first appear at Disney World.

“Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” will open in Orlando, Florida at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT. The route is described as a “family friendly adventure” which characterizes the first reverse launch in coaster ‘. Guardians of the Galaxy Director James Gunn has directed material that will be included on the track, but stressed that it is “In its own universe”.

Although the rollercoaster cutscenes are not part of the MCU rule, a new trailer for “Cosmic Rewind” has introduced an atmosphere that comes straight from the intergalactic franchise.

Who has been here in space?

Disney Parks has unveiled a new look at the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” train for Walt Disney World this summer. The video shows Nova Corps members sending an emergency call from EPCOT to Rocket Raccoon, Groot and Star-Lord. Rocket tries to wake up a masked Peter Quill before taking control of Benatar.

Twitter @DisneyParks shared its own 15-second trailer, which includes EPCOT footage along with a warning that “Space and time go back” and a call to action to “Help the Guardians save the galaxy.”

In an official statement, Disney Parks confirmed that the journey will begin “May 27” at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida:

“As part of the EPCOT transformation, put on the leash, start your game and start your mixtape as you spin, spin and launch into a terrific intergalactic chase. Welcome to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! kind of family coaster is only possible at EPCOT, where the Guardians of the Galaxy need you to save humanity on an amazing journey through space and time. This cosmic voyage will be one of the largest fully enclosed coasters in the world, with the first reverse launch on any Disney coaster! It’s Save the Galaxy Time! Celebrating Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration is an incredible adventure! “

While the “Cosmic Rewind” events are outside the MCU, the route itself is straight out of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Benatar is exactly as it used to be Avengers: Endgamea voice heard from Bradley Cooper comes from Rocket’s mouth and Peter Quill has the same short hair that Chris Pratt is known for.

That said, Quill’s full mask in Benatar probably stems from Pratt’s inability to film scenes for this trailer. The use of the red-eyed veil allows this suspension of distrust, as the fully CGI Rocket and Groot can appear exactly as they do in the MCU. Interestingly enough, Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista and Glenn Close are said to be reprinting their roles from Guardians of the Galaxy movies about the amusement park train, although no material has been released by these four actors.

Speaking of Groot, the humanoid tree is cultivated once again in this trailer. Fans have not seen the adult Groot since 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy, where he sacrificed himself to save his new friends. The current MCU Groot is actually Groot’s original son, like confirmed by director James Gunn. The inclusion of an adult Groot on this route emphasizes his placement outside the proper MCU, but still gives fans a familiar face he has been absent for almost a decade.

“Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind” arrives at Disney World EPCOT on May 27th.
