“I’m almost certain that people today want a diagnosis because it seems cool and not because they really have ADHD or maybe are on the lower end of the spectrum and don’t want medication,” said daughter of 2nd Lord Erskine of rerrick.

“If you are in [NHS waiting] then please come down because there are people who are really suicidal waiting for real help. ”

Gizzi, who hosts Channel 4’s Cook Yourself Thin, said conversations at community events with fellow guests who claimed to have ADHD had brought him to a boil.

“Too much chatter at the party recently made me burn out,” she admits.

He added: “You have to really think about whether you have enough problems [to need diagnosis from a medical professional].”

When he was eight years old, his parents divorced after his photographer father lost the family fortune.
