Australia’s most popular baby names have been revealed, with a new top girl name for the first time in seven years.

Isla has officially dropped Charlotte from the top spot, while Oliver remains as the most popular boy name for the ninth year in a row.

Millennial parents of Generation Alpha (born in or after 2010) are still looking for unique girl names, but are relying on more traditional names for boys, according to research from McCrindle.
