A new Thor: Love and Thunder The leak offers Marvel Cinematic Universe fans their first real look at Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher.
Various action boxes for Marvel Legends Build-a-Figure Thor: Love and Thunder recently appeared on Facebook and then shared on Thor: Love and Thunder News Twitter account. The boxes feature promo artwork for several characters in the film, including Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Ravager Thor (Hemsworth), Mighty Thor (Natalie Portman), King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Groot (Vin Diesel) and of course Gore (Bale). The data itself has recently leaked to the Internet, thanks to him Murphy’s Multiverse.
While Gore was recently portrayed in official Love and Thunder The LEGO set, the artwork in the character’s Marvel Legends box, is probably much more representative of how it will actually appear in the upcoming Marvel Studios movie.
Created by Jason Aaron and Esad Ribić, Gorr the God Butcher first appeared in 2012 Thor: God of Thunder # 2. A mortal alien born on an unnamed planet, Gorr acquired powerful subhuman abilities after being tied to the All-Black the Necrosword, a weapon created by Knull, the God of Cohabitants.
It was first reported in January 2020 that Bale, best known for his role as Bruce Wayne / Batman in director Chrostopher Nolan Dark Knight Trilogy, was in talks to join the MCU Love and Thunder. Towards the end of that year, it was revealed that Bale would actually play Gore, the butcher god.
In addition to Hemsworth as Thor, Portman as Jane Foster / Mighty Thor, Thompson as Valkyrie, Bale as Gorr, Pratt as Peter Quill / Star-Lord and Diesel as Groot, Love: and Thunder Starring Jaimie Alexander as Sif, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Sean Gunn as Kraglin Obfonteri, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster and director Taika Waititi as Korg.
See Christian Bale in action as Gorr the God Butcher when Thor: Love and Thunder released in theaters on July 8.
