The Stranger Things gang will be back soon for the 4th season.

Netflix

Stranger Things has not shown a new episode before the pandemic – in fact in July 2019. So it is no surprise that fans are looking forward to seeing footage from upcoming fourth season. Part 1 of this season hits Netflix on May 27th, with the second half coming on July 1st.

A trailer for the new season was released on Tuesday. And it’s wonderful.

Warning: Small spoilers in front.

The atmospheric trailer, starring in Journey’s 1983 song Separate Ways (Worlds Apart), suggests that Dr. Sam Owens (Paul Reiser) seeks help from a helpless Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) in a “war” that threatens her friends back. Hawkins, Indiana.

Police Chief Jim Hopper (David Harbor) is going through difficult times in a Russian prison, where he is apparently forced to fight a Dimogorgon. We also see what looks like the main evil of the season, a seemingly intelligent being living in the frightening parallel dimension known as Upside Down.

Fans were able to count down the hours until the trailer came out via a bizarre streaming video he uploaded to promote the show. The video focused on a tall, creepy grandfather’s Creel Clock watch. Creel House is the site of a disturbing murder and is set to play a role in the new season.

Prior to the trailer, several short teaser videos and four teaser posters and photos from the upcoming season were released. One of the teasers presented the Creel House, with clock. It seems that the family of the 1950s who moved when the house was in better condition experienced a bloody end and modern children can not resist breaking into and confusing the macabre place.

Stranger Things caught Netflix viewers by surprise when it debuted in 2016. Against the backdrop of the small town of Hawkins in the 1980s, the series begins with the disappearance of a child named Will Byers. Researchers at Hawkins National Laboratory have opened a portal to the creepy Upside Down and are experimenting on a group of children. One of these guys, known as Eleven, escapes and befriends Will’s gang.

Two more seasons have rocked the original gang, with Hopper seeming to be dying (but somehow ending up in Russia) and Joyce Byers taking her own family, plus Eleven, and leaving Hawkins.
