The shooting of Handmaid’s Tale in Toronto’s busiest square and at the U of T this week

The shooting of the dystopian drama The Handmaid’s Tale returned to Toronto this week – right in the middle of the city’s busiest public square.

Filming for the 5th season of the production continues as actors Elisabeth Moss and OT Fagbenle were was photographed on set at Yonge-Dundas Square this week.

The two actors stand side by side and look away with the signs and buildings of the busy square, in Yonge and Dundas, in the background on March 29.

Moss allegedly directed this episode.

In February, the crimson cloaks of the Handmaids were seen in Toronto’s affluent Bridle Path neighborhood at 25 Park Lane Circle, formerly the exterior of Commander Putnam’s home.

The production was also recently in Brantford, Ontario for filming and has been busy these last few days.

Moss and Fagbenle were at the University of Torontowhich stood as Consulate General of the United States of America on March 26th.

According Handmaid’s Dailya Twitter account that keeps tabs on local production sites, actors and crew were photographed in Newmarket this week. Moss was spotted walking in the city on March 30.

“The Handmaid’s Tale takes over the Newmarket this week because what we heard could be a pretty big scene!” the account was uploaded to Twitter.

The cast and crew were also seen at the Forbes Estate in Cambridge this week.

This will not be the last we will see from the production. According to the current list of producers in the city of Toronto, the shooting for “Gilead 5 Productions Inc.” The company will not be completed until July 29.
