Collider can confirm through multiple sources that its runtime Jurassic World Dominion, the upcoming sixth entry in the long-term budget franchise, will peak in 2 hours and 26 minutes. The doOlin Trevorow-directed epic from a script they co-sign Emily Carmichael includes a cast with returning favorite franchises, including Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neilland Chris Pratt.
In almost two and a half hours, this third installment of the revamped series is in line with other T-Rex-sized sets that have become increasingly common in cinemas over the past decade. It is almost the same length as the recent one Spider-Man: No Way Home and other recent box office hits. However, it lags far behind titles that have reached the three hour limit, including Τhe Batman and Avengers: Endgame.
In the Jurassic franchise, however, comes far ahead of the pack defeat Jurassic Park (2 hours, 7 minutes), The Lost World: Jurassic Park (2 hours, 9 minutes), Jurassic Park III (1 hour, 32 minutes), Jurassic World (2 hours, 4 minutes) and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2 hours, 6 minutes) with a big difference. The length is understandable, with old favorites and new characters being played Mamoudou Athi, Scott Hayes, Dichen Lachmanand DeWanda Wise to meet. Add to this the returning support players such as e.g. Jake Johnson, Daniela Pinenta, Justice Smith, Omar Syand BD Wongplus a clear move to wrap the multiple, intersecting threads of both plots, and you have plenty of ground to cover.
During an interview with Trevorrow last year, Collider’s Steven Weintraub guessed the exact time of the film when he asked the director about Dominion’s final length. Trevorrow replied: “It’s a movie that does justice to two series of characters without reducing either. And as I’ve said millions of times, I know you’ll know when you see it, Laura and Sam and Jeff are just as big. part of the film as Chris and Bryce are, in terms of time on screen, as important as their story, everything. “
We have already seen a somewhat full trailer that suggests this Sovereignty will hit all its marks with great speed and a Japanese poster with the most beautiful recurring character of the series. We also know that the finale of the trilogy involves a world flooded with an expanding dinosaur cast set in a “spy thriller adventure” that is “a bit of Bourne and Bond,” according to the director.
Jurassic World Dominion arrives in theaters — and in theaters only — on June 10.
