Pacific Rim: The Black made its debut in 2021 and created by Craig Kyle of Marvel Comics (Thor: Ragnarök) and Greg Johnson (X-Men: Evolution). The series is a spinoff of Guillero del Toro’s cult classic Pacific Rim films, focusing on humanity’s quest to stop an invasion of aliens, who try to rid the planet of its current inhabitants by sending huge monsters that destroy the city known as kaiju. In order to fight these beasts, humanity is building its own titans in the form of Jaegers, tall humanoid robots that require the brain power of two perfectly synchronized pilots to move and fight.

In case this series was not enough to satisfy the viewers’ appetites for giant monster fights, Netflix is also preparing the second season of its popular anime Ultraman. The series, which serves as a direct sequel to the classic 1966 live tokusatsu series, will premiere in the second season of six episodes on April 14.
