The video message – posted to mark Father’s Day, which was celebrated last weekend in other parts of the world – shows Steve, Robert and his sister Bindi having fun at the Australian Zoo.

Steve Irwin died in 2006, when Robert was just three years old, after being stabbed in the chest by a stingray.

The now 18-year-old TikTok video shows father and son hugging, walking along the beach and playing with lizards.

“I have the best dad in the world,” he wrote in the video’s caption.

“Thinking about him and remembering nothing but good times.

“I hope you all have a great Father’s Day in the US – sending love to those who can’t celebrate with their Dad.”

On Twitter, Robert posted another tribute – this time praising his brother-in-law Chandler for being a great dad.

“Father’s Day is a day filled with emotion – I think of my Dad very much & remember him fondly,” wrote Robert.

“But now, I also think about & admire my brother-in-law Chandler & how great he was as a father to my niece Grace.
“I’m glad he has such a lovely and kind person to help guide him through life.”

Robert’s followers sent touching messages of support after watching the clip.

“I wasn’t emotionally ready for this tbh,” said one.

Another wrote: “He was a father to anyone without a father to take them on adventures as a child & taught some of us how to be brave when facing wild animals.”

“He would be so proud of you @Robert Irwin @Bindi Irwin,” replied another adding a heart emoji. ️
