Square Enix officially announces Kingdom Hearts IV, Reveal trailer seems to suggest Star Wars World

It seems that the fourteen-year waiting period for the right adventures in Sora’s Keyblade has come to an end, as Square Enix officially announced the development of Kingdom Hearts 4, celebrating the news with a new trailer with an obvious hint that the iconic The protagonist and his friends can be found exploring a specific Edor forest moon.

Revealed on April 10 as part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts, the trailer for the premiere of Kingdom Hearts IV comes seven days after the events of the secret ending of Kingdom Hearts III, where Sora mysteriously disappears from Destiny Islands only to re-materialize into a real-World city that bears a striking resemblance to Tokyo Shibuya.

As noted by SE, with the completion of the Dark Seeker Saga at KHIII, KHIV will mark the beginning of the new Lost Master Arc.

“You’ve been asleep since you came to this world seven days ago,” says a redhead – identified in the official SE press release as – Strelitzia – to Sora as she wakes up in a luxury apartment. “This is the Quadratum. It’s a world full of life, but for you and me, it’s similar to a “post-world” I guess.

The two are then interrupted by the sudden appearance of a particularly massive Darkside Heartless, forcing Sora to instinctively jump into action and summon his Keyblade to defend the Quadratum fugitives.

The opening and end of the trailer is a voice from an unknown person, probably one of the two dressed in Organization XIII robes we saw just before the end of the trailer, who tells Sora, “If this is not the end you wanted – if it brings you despair – then leave this world for another.

“However,” he adds, “if you leave this world behind, do not expect to return to the one from whom you came.”

After the official debut of the game logo, a short epilogue finds Goofy and Donald looking for an unknown person, with the latter illuminating their way through a cavernous area with his staff.

“I wonder where he is,” says the Royal Wizard of Disney Castle.

“I do not know,” replies King Mickey, Captain of the Royal Knights, before implying that the couple may seek help to find Sora. “But I hope he can definitely help.”

Suddenly, a blue flame flashes behind them, forcing a terrified Donald and Goofy to quickly look ahead and stand in the spotlight.

“Hello, where do you think you are going?” asks the man, before creating red flames and further frightening the iconic Disney duo.

Although the trailer did not specify the terrifying new acquaintance of Donald and Goofy, the use of red and blue flames, the ability to help Sora’s new existence in the “afterlife” and a comparison between his voice as seen in previous games, suggests that their mysterious benefactor is none other than the evil Hercules and regular Hades.

In addition, it seems that with the appearance of Sora in the most “realistic” world of the Quadratum, Kingdom Hearts will officially move to incorporate some of Disney’s live-action features, starting from a galaxy far, far away.

After the potential member of Organization XIII completes his initial line for Sora, the trailer moves to an idyllic location in the woods as the text on the screen explains – in a typical Kingdom Hearts way – “The heart dwells in the soul, which with in turn is guided by fate to the position it deserves. However, in one shot of this forest scene, one can see a strange, disk-shaped metal object sitting in the upper right background of the frame.

Upon closer inspection, it appears that this object bears a striking resemblance to the “legs” of Star Wars’s iconic AT-ST Scout Transport.
