Prince Andrew settles sex scandal for Queen in ‘excruciating pain’: Ghislaine Maxwell’s brother

Ghislaine Maxwell’s brother said Prince Andrew settled his civil suit against Virginia Giuffre for the Queen’s mental peace.

Ian Maxwell told Jay Beecher that the truth about the Duke of York sex scandal will never be revealed because the payments have already been processed.

“I guess we’ll never really know because it’s Prince Andrew and everything has drifted away. After all this was his mother’s Jubilee year he was a dutiful son. This has really caused him pain, obviously it would happen to any mother.

“It causes excruciating pain.

“He’s just so embarrassed he doesn’t want to do anything to disappoint this year.

“I think he should fold up his tent, really and do the best he can for the Crown.”

Mr Maxwell, aged 66, continued: “Do I think he has gone the other way and given evidence?

“I don’t know, I think that would be very difficult evidence for him to give.

“We had examples of performances with Emily Matlis in 2019 so she’s not good in one-on-one situations, and then a pitch where she’s fighting for her life, I think it’s going to be really tough.

“But I also think that it will be just as difficult for Giuffre as it was for him,” he said producing the original of a famous photo in London, where allegedly the events he said took place and he couldn’t produce it. He was never able to produce the photo.

“On one level I think it suits both sides that it ends up going that way.”

Mr Maxwell added: “I think he is a very high profile target but we won’t know.

“I think it’s interesting that he ended up paying a seemingly huge amount of money to a nonprofit and that’s unusual.”

Andrew was accused of sexually assaulting Mr Giuffre when he was 17 years old. The latter was allegedly trafficked to Prince by Ghislaine Maxwell, a close confidant of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
