The superhero movie, which was released last week with negative reviews from critics, is the third in the Sony Spider-Man Universe franchise, after 2018 Poison and 2021 Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The next movies to come are Kraven the Hunter in January 2023 and Madame Webwhich does not yet have a release date.
Morbius revolves around the well-known Spider-Man villain, Michael Morbius, an award-winning doctor with a rare blood disease. In his desperate search for a cure, he gambles by linking his DNA to that of vampire bats, causing him to fall into a form of vampirism. Directed by Daniel Espinosa and written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, the film stars Jared Leto as the title character, Adria Arjona as Martine Bancroft in love, Jared Harris as caretaker Emil Nicholas and Matt Smith as Morbius Milo’s half-brother.

Because many critics and fans have pointed out a lot MorbiusHis flaws in the reviews, writing the script for this Pitch Meeting must have been very easy for George. In fact, one might say it should not have been a hassle. For example, it touches on how the movie trailers showed hints of Spider-Man, only that none of them actually appeared in the movie. He points out that Sony used its partnership with Marvel Studios for the benefit of marketing, to create noise and excitement among moviegoers, just to disappoint them. This is just one of the big problems in the movie that George mocks throughout the meeting.
From Screen RantThe Pitch Meeting series is very popular on YouTube, there is a chance that this latest sketch will be seen by the people of Sony Pictures. They have probably heard all the negative comments Morbius has taken? the best thing to do would be to take it all as constructive criticism. After all, their Marvel movies are based on favorite characters who have had amazing stories over the decades. The source material is out there, so there is plenty of room to learn how to make a better film … and hire better screenwriters. Morbius is in the rooms now (but probably not for much longer).
