In recent months, not everything in the world has been very positive Fool. While members of the troupe recently reunited for Jackass Forever, the film was a success at the box office and received a warm response from critics, there was ongoing controversy due to the lawsuit filed by Bam Margera last August for a contract dispute. At last, however, it is rumored that there may be some peace, as there is a new report suggesting that Margera is now settling legal issues.
This news comes from TMZ, which reports the new information based on court documents that the agency claims to have obtained. According to the material, Margera is called to “reject the lawsuit” and the website claims that “all the signs show a compromise”.
The main subject of the lawsuit filed by Bam Margera concerns a “wellness agreement” which the performer signed in 2019 before the start of production on Jackass Forever. The document was a prerequisite for his participation in the film and required Margherla to spend at least 90 days in a treatment center for substance abuse problems and to remain sober – taking only drugs “approved by the medical center’s medical staff”.
According to TMZ, Bam Margera tested positive for Adderall and was fired from his production Jackass Forever in early 2021. Reports of Margera suing Johnny Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine, Spike Jonze and the studio began a few months later and he filed a lawsuit in the summer seeking compensation for his work on the new film and hand of creating a franchise.
The legal issue escalated last December when a Los Angeles Supreme Court judge ruled that the lawsuit was eligible to survive the dismissal and was allowed to proceed. Five months later, it seems the situation can be resolved.
Jackass Forever is the first film in the franchise that does not have Bam Margera in a major role, although it can be found in the film by the audience who look quite hard. The singer is seen in the “Marching Band” sketch, which sees many members of the group dressed in uniforms and carrying instruments before stepping on a high-speed treadmill that throws them into the hall. It only appears for a while, but you can definitely see it if you look for it.
We will continue to report the status of Bam Margera as more information becomes available.
