Kim Kardashian has revealed that Pete Davidson calmed her down ahead of the Saturday Night Live hostess show.
The pair bumped into each other a month before the show when they attended the Met Gala in September, with comics Pete happy to offer some advice.
Speaking on her debut episode of The Kardashians on Thursday, Kim, 41, admitted she felt ‘scared’ and ‘nervous’ at the thought of hosting the iconic show, and has also struggled with whether or not to ask her estranged husband, Kanye West. to appear at night.

He said in confession: ‘There are certain things that people tell me to do that make me a lot more nervous.
‘I met Pete Davidson at the Met and I was like ‘I’m so scared I don’t know what I signed up for’, and he was like, ‘Can you read the cue card? You’re good!’
Kim and Pete, 28, went on to share their first kiss during the show’s Aladdin-themed skit, and the couple later started dating.

Earlier on the program, Kim revealed that she was worried she wouldn’t be funny, admitting: ‘I’ve always put myself in these situations where I feel like I’m fulfilling someone else’s dream, like my mother.
‘I don’t know why I did Dancing With the stars. I suck. Really sucked in!’
She then debated whether to ask her estranged husband to appear on the episode, admitting: ‘I’ve been a bit back and forth since Kanye’s album came out.
‘Do I want him to be – it would be epic if like my musical guest. But then, do I want my own moment?’

Speaking in confession he said: ‘Kanye and I are still going through a divorce right now we are just trying to figure out: how to be good parents to our kids together, how to be good friends to each other.
‘The ultimate goal no matter what it is just happiness and following it whatever it takes.’
Still struggling to consider whether he should get Kanye involved, he mused: ‘This is my time and I want it to be about me and not about how they will act on each other.
“He’s obviously going to be the best, but maybe this is my chance to do something myself.
‘I didn’t know it could be so soothing – it would be so cool for the kids to see mom and dad on SNL together and it’s just so cool. But then like me maybe the more stressed out, the more people you know that’s there – I’m probably like “oh my god.”‘
