Hbo Max Orders Dead Boy Detective

HBO Max has officially distributed serial orders for the adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner’s DC Comics title “Dead Boy Detectives”.

“The Flight Attendant” creator Steve Yockey is adapting the comic and will serve as showrunner on the series to be produced by Warner Bros. TV and Berlanti Productions. Jeremy Carver also serves as executive producer.

The series is dubbed a new take on a ghost story that explores loss, grief and death through the lens of two deceased British teenagers Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland… and their living friend Crystal Palace.

George Rexstrew and Jayden Revri will play Edwin and Charles while Kassius Nelson is Crystal. Briana Cuoco, Yuyu Kitamura and Jenn Lyon star alongside Ruth Connell who will reprise her role as the Night Nurse from HBO Max’s “Doom Patrol.”
