Hamish Blake and Andy Lee share fears they might be CANCELED over their troubled old podcast episode: ‘It could end our careers’

They are one of Australia’s favorite comedy duos with almost 20 years in the business.

But Hamish Blake and Andy Lee have admitted they fear their careers might end because of the politically wrong things they said in old podcast episodes.

Speaking to Nova’s Ben and Liam, Andy, 41, said he would have been canceled because of a joke he made in his early years if he had said it today.

“There were so many things that would undo Hamish and me,” he admits.

‘I promise you – because Hamish and I made another podcast called The Remembering Project where we re-listen – there are things we listen to back and go “well, we wouldn’t say that in this day and age.”

‘One can explore and if they really want to, they can pull out their knife and finish our career.’

Nova host Liam said he listened to an old episode from 2006 on his way to the studio before his interview with Andy.

‘Hamish got slapped by a turkey on Hamish and Andy’s show!’ Andy is heard laughing in the clip.

‘What are we doing!’ Lee laughed. ‘I don’t even remember doing it, I’ve already blocked it from my mind!’

“The context here – which I think is important – is that you use a piece of turkey to slap him in the face,” Liam said.

‘ I asked The Hundred if they wanted another season of the show and it was a resounding ‘yes’. You have to trust the data,” Andy said in a statement to Blackbox TV.

‘I also asked them if they wanted Gold Logie winner Hamish Blake to replace me as host and I have decided to keep their answer private.

‘Some data you can’t trust. I’ll be back for a third season.’

The format of the event centers around Lee asking three guest panelists, who battle it out to determine who knows Australia best.

'I asked The Hundred if they wanted another season of the show and it was great "Yes". You have to trust the data,' Andy said in a statement to TV Blackbox
