Henwick recently opened up about taking on a role in Matrix Awakening more shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, said that his decision was based on Marvel’s broader future plans.

Henwick told Hollywood Reporter last year he felt like accepting a role in Shang-Chi means ending the possibility of reprising her role as Colleen Wing from the Marvel show, including Iron fist.

“It definitely comes up in discussions,” he said. “If I do [Shang-Chi], I will effectively put Colleen to sleep. It’s not a major factor, but it sure comes up in conversation.
