Does red match the official Canon?

One piece The next feature-length film of the franchise will soon be released in all cinemas in Japan later this year, but the question remains whether the upcoming One Piece Film: Red will be included in the official canon of the series. As fans of the anime franchise have seen over the years, when an anime makes the leap to the cinemas, it usually does so with the intention of reaching as many eyes as possible. This meant that until recent years most of these releases continued to share their own original stories.

This happened to One piece films of the past as well. Although these are stories by the creator of the original series Eiichiro Oda, each was a unique, closed adventure that often (except in very, very rare cases) was not mentioned in the official rule of the series. They may sometimes be part of the anime, but it is very rare for something to emerge in the manga. That may just change with One Piece Film: Red, however, as it already promises some significant changes to what we know about Red-Hired Shanks.

One Piece Film: Red released his first trailer as of this writing, and introduced him to his daughter Shanks (a new character named Uta) in the series. Now the question here is whether it will become an official part of the rule as a whole? Such a massive introduction to the Shanks identity could give some major upheaval to the rest of the series, as not only is it a new look at its mysterious past, but it could also shed some light on more of the mysteries that surround it. current goals and in turn.

Without going into details about the current events of the manga, the recent revelation about Luffy and Devil Fruit puts Shanks’ early possession in a whole new light. In addition to the fact that he had some attraction with the Five Elders during Reverie, and this could give a basic clue to put all these puzzles together. But this is only if it is part of the official rule. It is not entirely unlikely to see a family member show up but never be raised again, but that too is not something. One piece as a whole does. Once a character appears, fans can expect to see him again (even if at low capacity).

Given the success of franchises like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Jujutsu Kaisen that they had in cinemas with completely normal feature films, it is not entirely out of the realm of chance. One Piece Film: Red used to enrich the main rule. It could be anything from a huge revelation (like probably giving us the first “today” reunion between Luffy and the Shanks) or a clue to the future, like getting Laugh Tale’s first, correct spelling inside of his events One Piece: Stampedethe previous movie before that.

But what do you think? Do you hope that One Piece Film: Red will bind the official rule of the series? If so, what do you hope to see revealed about Shanks?
